My take is that Trent Green is a doooosche and went low on the blind side of a D-lineman and got what he deserved.  Was Travis Johnson wrong to be pissed and to express that to  the seemingly lifeless corpse of Trent Green?  I say NO!  Green got what he deserved.  What do you think?

We should post articles from Houston and Miami and watch the spin.  The fact that he's a big black guy and Green is a mediocre white QB isn't helping Travis' postion in the court of public opinion.

Apparently, it was a legal block...

Defensive Linemen have been trying to get this tackle/block removed from football for years...

Very true. And the fact that most people can't sympathize with an enormous lineman who lives or dies by his knees. At the same time, Johnson needs to suck it up and apologize for getting Green 10 years closer to Parkinson's. One of those instances where it's not worth making a point.

Green dived at his knees and Travis never saw him, so I think apologizing for kneeing him in his head is a little unnecessary.

The "chop block" is a dirty and dangerous maneuver (for both players) that should have been made illegal years ago. I am surprised Johnson had the self-restraint not to spit on Green after it was done. I don't think he owes an apology to anyone but his team. He made a scene and his team was penalized for it. End of story.

Johnson should go to the UFC. With knockout knees like that he could be a contender.

I think that Travis Johnson wouldn't think twice about crushing Green with a block after he threw an interception so fuck him.

Offensive and Defensive Lineman are the biggest champions of chop blocking, funny they are also the biggest Whiners about it as well

I'm pretty sure that Johnson would not go for the knee when he hits the QB, especially after what happened to Palmer in the playoffs a few years ago.

He doesn't have to go for the knee he's a 300+lb lineman who hits on every play going after a less than 200 lb quarterback with a history of concussions.  You think any of that would enter his mind when the games going on at full speed and he gets a chance to hit a QB on an interception return?  No he is going to do what ever is the most effective thing to take him out of the play which is what Green did.  If he doesn't want to play a sport where that's legal he can go play something else.
